Every child deserves an excellent education

Worst scenario of education in sindh

I wonder sometime that what education is?

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research.

Is it happening in our country?
that is what being provided to our generation and generations to come. First and foremost, there are multiple languages i.e. English, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi and Pushtu are being taught in different areas of this country, which is the most ill conceived factor for pupil. No standard curricula and courses are defined till today. Moreover, students who have been studying in Government schools, hardly read and write what they had already been taught and this is common in even prestigious private schools as well.
According to one of the surveys conducted by US educational organization says,

“When we conducted the survey in different primary and secondary schools we were shocked that students could not read and write simple Urdu and English.”

where is the problem? in teachers? curriculum? or at the part of students?. this still is an enigma, especially in most parts of Sindh which is the most worst and lowest province in education in Pakistan. Despite billions of rupees being spent on the education sector, 55 per cent children aged between 5 and 16 in Sindh are out of school,

Among the out-of-school children, 61 % are girls, reflecting a disturbing gender disparity in school education. In Sindh, it added, 4,123 schools were not functional and 1,261 schools are permanently closed while a total of 39,772 schools were functional.

There are some other factors which are also contributing to the lowest education level overall. No denying the fact, it has also been observed that family background and support of parents play pivotal role in one’s education and brought-up. Because not only the teacher teaches the children but a family and specifically parents are the main part and parcel who teach their children and brought him or her up. Let’s get into his nurturing, the parents, at initial stage, are the whole sole responsible for their children nurturing. What parents do or behave, children adopt those things. neither parents bother to treat their children with moral and ethical codes specially in lower middle class families. nor the teachers provide the ambiance of learning to the pupils.

Aforementioned problems are eating the youth out. Nature vs Nurture, both play their respective role in the life of children and it is the responsibility of whole society to develop a child into man, there is dire need of reforms not in education sector only but awareness drive must be carried out to acquaint parents how to bring up their child.

That’s all!
